Teresa Wright had collected 1937/38 first stage experience at the Wharf Theater in Provincetown (Massachusetts). In 1938 she made her debut in New York and was then with Thornton Wilder's Our Town on tour. 1940 was in the play Life with Father success on Broadway. She was struck in the early 40s in a theater on Broadway, the movie producer Samuel Goldwyn. He took her to Hollywood soon. With their role in the movie The Little Foxes (The Little Foxes) - the daughter of Bette Davis - she had such a success that director William Wyler, they acted as "the most promising young actress in America."

Wright died on 6 March 2005 on the consequences of a heart attack.
