Plot:
Miss Morrison is a lonely old woman who tells the story of her life as the glamorous opera star Marcia Mornay. Marcia has agreed to marry her mentor Nicolai Nazaroff. She meets a penniless singer named Paul Allison and falls in love. Marcia feels obligated to marry Nicolai and leaves Paul. Under Nicolai's guidance Marcia becomes a star but she cannot forget Paul. When Marcia and Paul appear in a prestigious opera together they can no longer hide their feelings for each other. Marcia tells Nicolai she wants out of their marriage but he will not let her go without a fight.
