Plot:

Frank Chambers is a drifter who gets a job working in Nick Smith's diner. He quickly falls in love with Cora, Nick's seductive young wife. Cora convinces Frank to murder her husband but things goes wrong and Nick doesn't die. Cora and Frank's behavior makes Kyle Sackett, the District Attorney, suspicious. Frank decides to leave town but he can't stop thinking about Cora and goes back to her. Now Frank and Cora must find a way to get rid of Nick so they can be together.
