PLOT: While in France a naive young woman falls in love with the rich and handsome Maximillian de Winter. Max takes her to the home he shared with Rebecca, his first wife who drowned. The second Mrs. de Winter finds that Rebecca is still very much a presence at their estate, Manderley. She clashes with the housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers, a menacing woman who adored Rebecca. The second Mrs. de Winter is convinced that her husband still loves Rebecca until he reveals a tragic secret.
