PLOT: Mary Haines thinks she has the perfect life until she discovers that her husband is having an affair with Crystal Allen. Sylvia Fowler and her other friends spend most of their time gossiping about Mary's troubled marriage. Mary decides to get a divorce and goes to Reno with her friend, Peggy. They meet Miriam Aarons and the Countess DeLave who are also getting divorced. Mary tries to cope with the end of her marriage while the other women deal with their own tumultuous love lives.
